Illustoria is a beautiful magazine for creative kids and their grownups. It's full of stories, artwork, crafts, and inspiring interviews.
"Illustoria is a tri-annual print magazine, serving up sixty-four pages of full-color creative revelry for all ages. Our content speaks to the sense of curiosity in all children and the grownups surrounding them—whether parents, relatives, educators, or community organizers. We entice reluctant readers with our games and jokes section, engage writers with our story-prompt cards, and encourage future artists with our Studio Visit interviews—highlighting professional artists of all types and backgrounds. We believe that young people have important ideas; this magazine brings their voices to the table. Illustoria is the official publication of the International Alliance of Youth Writing Centers, and we publish works by school-aged contributors from sixty-six writing centers worldwide. Illustoria is published by McSweeney’s, an independent nonprofit publishing company based in San Francisco and founded in 1998 by Dave Eggers."
